Kim il Sung

Andrine below the giant gold statue of Kim il Sung in Pyongyang (capital of North Korea). Kim died in 1994, but is still the eternal president of North Korea. There are statues and pictures of him all over the country.

Kim il Sung and Kim Jon il

Below one of the posters of the great leaders (Kim il Sung and his son Kim Jong il, who is currently the de facto leader of North Korea).

Interesting stuff going on here. North Korea is always destabilizing things. I guess Kim Jung-Il is just out of his mind. What sane human being could believe that anything good could result from such instability?

It seemed pretty stabile to the ducks 🙂

We were very tightly controlled, and were not allowed to move around on our own; so i can’t really give an overall impression of North Korea. The duck photos had to be taken rather secretly – I am not sure if our “guides” would have appreciated duck shots in front of “dear leader”…
